Custom Data & Smart Card Configuration

6.1 Custom Data – Overview
Custom Data can be added to Tickets, Cases & Actions to capture bespoke information on these work items as they run through process. The information is displayable via Custom Cards, also knows as Smart Cards. Cards can be set to display in the main section of the work item, and also as a section of the side panel on the right side of the screens.

These cards can be designed (with HTML, Javascript and CSS) to surface almost any content, e.g content from other systems.

There are three steps involved in configuring Custom information to display on Ticket, Case & Action screens:

  1. Creating Custom Data Fields
  2. Creating Smart Cards to show these Data Fields / other content.
  3. Linking Smart Cards to specific Case, Ticket & Action instances
