Once you’ve added an action into the flow, you can set the following details in the Actions grid row.
*mandatory to set live.
A. Adding Ad hoc Actions
There are two variations on how this is configured, depending up on whether the action in question also appreas as part of the standard case flow:
- Ad hoc actions which are also part of the standard case flow – simply tick the checkbox in the actions grid ‘Allow Manual Creation’ column (The ‘ ’ column).
- Actions which are purely Ad hoc, i.e. do not appear in the case flow diagram – select the [+Adhoc Action] button and choose a new action from the menu of actions popup.
This ad hoc action is not part of the workflow, but can be launched manually by a Case Owner, if required. Once the action is added, it shows up in the action info tab where all the configuration settings are same as every other action, with the following exceptions:
- The [Allow Manual Creation] checkbox is auto-ticked and can’t be disabled.
- If you want to delete this action, you have to do it directly in the gird (click the delete icon displayed in first column).
Note: Kicking off an Adhoc flow, i.e. a manually startable action which then automatically kicks off further downstream flow, will be supported in an upcoming update release of Builder.
